What Materials Does Stable Use? Steel, Wood & Finishes

Our Materials

Stable uses two primary materials across our product range — carbon steel and solid wood. Here's what you need to know about each.

Carbon Steel

We use structural-grade carbon steel for all frames and bases. Key properties:

  • High load capacity — commercial benches rated up to 350–500 kg depending on model
  • Weldable — allows complex custom shapes and configurations
  • Powder-coat ready — accepts any RAL colour for a durable, weather-resistant finish

All steel is sourced locally in Egypt and cut, bent, and welded in-house at our Cairo workshop.

Powder Coating

All steel surfaces are powder-coated after fabrication. Our process:

  1. Sandblasting to remove mill scale and contaminants
  2. Epoxy primer coat for corrosion resistance
  3. Polyester topcoat in the specified RAL colour
  4. Oven-cured for maximum hardness and UV resistance

The result is a finish that resists chipping, fading, and corrosion — engineered specifically for Egypt's heat, UV exposure, and humidity levels.

Wood — Musky Wood

Our standard wood is musky wood (also called Russian pine or Siberian larch in some markets) — a dense, resinous softwood with excellent outdoor durability. Properties:

  • Naturally resinous — resists moisture absorption
  • High density — resists splitting and warping
  • Warm amber tone that weathers to a distinguished silver-grey outdoors if untreated
  • Treated with outdoor-grade oil or stain for colour retention

Expected Lifespan

With standard use and basic annual maintenance, Stable products are designed to last 10+ years outdoors in Egyptian conditions. The powder-coat finish on steel is warrantied for 2 years against manufacturing defects.
